John 14:27
A few of you know that my brother-n-law has been suffering from cancer, this past Friday, he left us to be with Jesus. The day before his death, my father discovered he has lung cancer that has already spread into his lymph nodes. Even though this time in our lives is emotionally and physically draining, we take great comfort in knowing that both Don and my father are children of the King. We know that in the end we will miss them greatly, but we will see them again. As we endure these storms in our lives, the above scripture reminds me that Jesus knew we would have times of trouble like these. Then He reminds us to cast our cares upon Him.
My brother-n-law chose this song for his funeral, In Christ Alone.
Oh my - I am so sorry for your loss and hardships! - I will be praying for you and your family - that our heavenly Father will guide and even carry you through these hard times.

SO sorry to read that your BIL has gone. Also for the suffering and heartache as you face your father's lung cancer.

I am so sorry for the valley you are walking through. I'll be praying for your family. I look forward to Heaven and to singing with my Daddy again. Maybe we'll talk football. But I know that all of us will enjoy the presence of Jesus and peace like we've never known.
ReplyDeleteMay God grant you strength for the journey until we meet there some day.
So sorry to hear about your brother in law. Deeply sorry to hear about your father's diagnosis. As a Christian, it is so encouraging to hear your heart at this time. "In Christ Alone my hope is found . . . ", a wonderful testimony at a time like this.
ReplyDeleteSo sad and heartbreaking to hear this news, and one after the other. The Lord wants you to lean on Him more than ever now, and that is where you will find your strength.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry -- sickness is all around us -- every day we hear of someone nearby battling cancer. Thankfully those of us who know the Lord have that hope of eternal life and His peace in the midst of a storm.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for your loss...but there is a southern gospel song that says it well..."celebrate me home". as children of a loving Father, we don't mourn as the world mourns.

Sorry to hear about your brother in law, and to hear bad news about your dad at the same time must have been very hard. I love that hymn.
ReplyDeleteMay God be with your family, surround you with His loving embrace and heal your hearts and minds.
