In His Word Wednesday: Colossian 1:9-12; Part 6

We often drop to our knees with a petition to God. A lot of the times it's just to roll our burdens upon God. There is much more to prayer than a passionate plea for God to intervene. Paul often spoke intriguing prayers. We find one of them in Colossians 1:9-12:

(9)For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
(10)that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
(11)strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and long suffering with joy;
(12)giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

In this prayer, Paul covers 7 areas of our lives that needs a daily touch of God. Over the next several weeks, I will discuss each area on my Wednesday "In His Word" post.


Part 6 is found in verse 11, "strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power." Most of our lives are extremely busy, being filled with a multitude of task. It's very easy to lose strength, not just in physical body but in mind and soul. In these instances it is easy to stumble and fall. Ask God daily to strengthen you...and He will.

Product Review: Baby Wipe Case

I'm always purchasing different items, so I thought it would be a good idea to share my thoughts on my purchases. And what better place to share my opinion than my blog...

Being a nurse, I am super-aware of germs, which makes me a chronic hand washer. I love those little bottles of hand sanitizer but they dry my hands out and the smell can be overwhelming. After being out shopping, hiking, or whatever, I would like to be able to clean my hands and what better way to do that than baby wipes. I mean if their good enough to clean our babies tender bottoms and get the stink off, they should be good enough for my hands. I didn't want one of those large containers sitting in my car, so when I came across this cute travel size wipe case at Little Chic Boutique, I was thrilled. Of course I totally love it because of the cute little hedgehog on it!

My case came in a bubble mailer, wrapped in tissue, with a card.

I have always purchase things that make me smile or laugh, and this adorable hedgehog cracks me up. Of course, you know of my love for hedgehogs anyway. The case is plastic and is covered with fabric and padded underneath. The fabric was good and tight and seams were covered with ribbon.

I quickly added wipes and put it in my car. Now not only do I have wipes for my clean hand obsession, but the case makes me smile. I would recommend Little Chic Boutique. They also offer burp cloths, changing pads, and breasting feeding pads in adorable fabrics.
