Those of us who choose to identify with Christ's life have a great passion to obey God. Obeying is a joyful way of living out what we know to be true, right, and good. Obedience is us totally submitting to what God desires in our life.
God places high value on obedience. Which brings us to our verse for this week.
Proverbs 21:3 To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
God prefers obedience is an ultimate expression of worship. How are some of the ways we can be obedient?
1. Spend time in His Word:
To know God, we have to know what He commands of us.
2. Live righteously:
Living righteously is doing what is "right" before the Lord. Want to know what is "right?" Go back to #1.
3. Be led by the Holy Spirit:
Trusting that God will be leading you through the Holy Spirit and will correct you when you make an error.
No matter what point you are stronger in, each leads to great desire to the others. God goodness and greatness gives us a desire to obey.
